Gold Peacock Wing Disc Ruby Tassel Necklace Set

traditional goldsmithing — the peacock. Two sculpted peacock forms flank the 
central medallion in profile, their bodies worked in delicate filigree and 
extending outward like wings to give the pendant its distinctive wide, 
crescent-like silhouette. At the heart of the piece, a domed circular disc 
rises in concentric tiers — the innermost layer a sunburst of fine radial 
lines emanating from a central eight-petal flower filled with ruby-red and 
amber enamel, surrounded by a ring of dot accents and framed by a scalloped 
gold border. The base of the disc is edged with a row of arch cutouts, from 
which a generous fringe of box-chain tassels falls in graduated lengths — 
each strand tipped with a flat teardrop finial, with three central drops 
accented in ruby-red enamel for a final flourish of colour.
